If you need GPS equipment short term or not ready to invest, renting is a good option. One way to test equipment without making the full investment, is a monthly rental. 

4K Equipment provides customizable rental options for all current inventory to all 50 states. Rental packages can be priced with either weekly or monthly rates. The first full months rent and half of all following months can be applied towards the purchase of your rental. 2. Complete a BUSINESS CREDIT APPLICATION

3. Once approved, rental agreement and credit card authorization forms will be sent

4. Once complete, the first months payment will be processed and the kit will be tested and shipped

Buying: 

The Base/Rover Receiver Kit, Machine Control Kit, or Robotic Total Station is yours! You can use your equipment as long as you want and also have the option to sell to get some of your money back. Purchasing equipment is the best option for long term use. There is no contracts, and you can work on your own time schedule!
