Leica ICR50, iCR60, iCR70, iCR80 Robotic Total Station Kit Setup Guide

1. Power on the Total Station and Tablet 

2. Once the Leica Icon Software is opened up on the tablet, Click “Layout Points” 

3. Click the Total Station icon at the bottom of the screen (next to the red toolbox) 

4. Click the “Anywhere” option in the top left corner 

5. Use the optical level to level your instrument, the click the blue dot in the top right corner 

6. Keep your “Instrument Height” at 0’0”, but set your “Reflector Height” to height of your prism rod (typically 6’6”) then press the blue dot in the top right corner 

7. Click the prism icon on the top of the screen, then click “Move & Search” 

8. Click the left or right button and the total station will do a complete spin to lock the prism 

9. Set your Prism Rod over the first control point and level it using the bubble (you typically want to choose two control points that form an equilateral triangle with your total station around the points you want to layout) 

10. Select the first control point on the screen, click “Start”, then click “Store” 

11. Set your Prism Rod over the second control point and level it using the bubble 

12. Select the second control point on the screen, click “Start”, then click “Store” 

13. You can click the badge icon in the bottom left corner to check the accuracy of both control point, then click the check mark to save the setup.
